Capcom’s Mega Man 9 is out now launching today for Xbox 360 Live Arcade. The classic looking game uses similar technology that had characterised 8-bit titles of the 80s. So prepare to reenter the visual world of the earliest Tetris or table tennis games. Retro design enthusiast will just love it as it combines pixel art graphics (including CRT scan lines) and chip tune music with today’s design taste. Mega Man 9 offers 12 challenging levels for players to tackle.
Capcom’s developers of Mega Man have introduced 50 new characters, enemies and bosses to the Xbox 360 game. New is an online leader board system, so it’s easy to keep track of achieved levels and compare against other players around the globe. Capcom said that Xbox 360 Live Arcade players will have the opportunity to download additional content giving Mega Man 9 a chance to move between the past, presence and the future.
Another game for Xbox Live is War World that launches today. It’s a third person shooter. The task is simple: control a hulking robot machine to take over power of a planet called War World. There are 100 levels.
